- it's very simple by WM player just rip your cd
- Yes, you can, although depending upon your hardware and software configurations, you may have to copy music from a CD directly to your hard drive first, then transfer to the mp3 player.
- If you're running windoz XP and have the latest version of Media Player, when you put the CD in the drawer the puter will ask you what you want to do with it. Select "Rip music with Windows Media Player". When Media player opens click "tools", then "options", click the "rip Music" tab. Under "Format" choose MP3, and move slider to the desired bit-rate. Remember that the further to the right you go, the higher the sound quality but also the larger the file will be. I would suggest setting it to either 128k or 192k. Click the "Rip Music" button and away it goes. While it's ripping click the "Find Album Info" button and all of the track info will be automatically inserted into the tracks (only on store bought CDs).
- Windows Media Player, Yahoo Music Engine, and Rhapsody all allow you to "rip" music from a CD into MP3 format onto your hard drive. They allow you to create playlists. And they allow you to transfer this music to a compatible MP3 player using MTP -- the Media Transfer Protocol. Look for players that have the "PlaysForSure" logo. You can rip the songs and transfer them to other players that work like "disk drives" (flash based MP3 players) but I've found these other programs to be better for managing and browsing music. And they are all free for this purpose.
