CD Music Online

I want to make a music data CD with mp3 files on it. How do I do this?

Whenever I put in a CD-R into my disc drive and try to paste music or open the cd folder, it says: "Please insert a disc into drive D:." I want to put like hundreds of songs on instead of burning but nothing works. help?

  1. You'll need to download a program for burning CD's, WIndows XP doesn't have the capability built in.
  2. Anything which is put on a CD has to be burned.. That's the way it works. If you have Windows Media Player you can burn with that. If not try one of these free burning apps. Deepburner Free: http://www.deepburner.com/?r=download CDBurner XP: http://filehippo.com/download_cdburnerxp/ Burning "hundreds" of tracks is a bit ambitious. The average size of an mp3 file with a compression ratio of 128 kbps is 4.5 Mb. If they are all exactly that size 155 tracks will fit a 700 Mb CD-R. I haven't got any at 96 kbps but as an estimate at 4 Mb average you'd still only get about 175 tracks on the disk. Any less than 96 kbps and the quality would most likely be unusable for music. I assume you're aware that playback of mp3 files is limited to Computers, DVD players and more current CD players. Older CD players do not recognize and play mp3 format files. Only wav format is universal.
